Nicole Mitchell has been given the prestigious title of "Artist in Residence" for the 2010 Chicago Jazz Festival. She will be doing four concerts:

Sept 3: Nicole Mitchell's Black Earth Orchestra, "The Arc of O" 7pm Millineum Park
Sept 4: Nicole Mitchell's Sonic Projections Jazz and Heritage Stage 3:30pm
Sept 5: Nicole Mitchell's Black Earth Ensemble with harpist Edmar Castaneda 1pm, Jackson Stage
